Bone achingly tired

I've been in and out of hospital with my 17m old for the last ten days. He's been up since 4 and just starting to settle. DH's alarm goes off at 6 today and shortly the 2 year old will be up. Then I'm on my own until my mil has the boys for a couple of hours this evening while I work. I can then come home and wrangle them into bed

Tiredness is an understatement. Anyone else join the club?

Oh my goodness you poor thing! Hope your DS is on the mend. The 6 am wake up after a 4 am stint is awful. I won't lie, I gave the 2 year old the iPad in the mornings, let him sit on my pillow with it whilst I dozed. Could you decamp to the sofa and let him watch tv whilst you rest?

The two year old had watched far too much telly recently with the one year old being so poorly. I don't think I'll bother trying to go back to sleep now.

Bit frustrating that the one year old decided to be awake for two hours ! He's still shuffling in his cot now

Needs must. Better a bit too much tv than an ill mum.

I'm laying here desperately hoping there is a coffee fairy and coffee will magically appear Grin the one year old was discharged from the hospital yesterday so that's one good thing

You need to change your DH's alarm to "Get me coffee, get me coffee!" Grin
Don't be too hard on yourself with the mum guilt. Your family has been through a lot and you all need time to recover.

So I snuck out of the one year olds room, got into bed. All quiet. Dh in shower. Maybe half an hour shut eye..... one year old "mummy mummy mummy"

Sleep is for losers. Such a shame - two year old is still asleep

I feel your pain, my 7 month old still wakes several times a night and then we went through a massive stint of 5am wake ups. And even if I’m able to get him to go back down for a bit longer you can guarantee the minute he falls asleep the big one wakes up!

Actually in shock this morning that the baby woke at 5.55 and the big one is only just getting up now.

I hope your DS is better soon.

Much sympathy! Been up since 5am when one of mine stomped to the loo for a wee. Gave in and got up at 6.05am... have got a full day of work and then activities for 4 DC to get through, plus showers/homework/dinner/bedtime before I can collapse again!

It's nice to share the pain!. I feel better after a coffee.

The two year old is still asleep and the one year old is starting to wonder where he is, sounds like him saying "purple" but it's the way he says his name Smile mega cute
