Please can you help ds1 with market research for a school project? The winners in the year group get to make them. I would love him to do well with this as life can be a struggle because he has autism and add. It only takes about five minutes.

I hope the link works.

It's lovely and would be a good gift for older women / couples - mothers' day, birthdays etc. I could see these selling in independent boutiques.

Nesssie · 24/06/2019 16:32

I put 'maybe' for buying it as I would only want it to go outside if it was waterproof.
Indoors- no
Outdoors- definitely yes

Done! I'm another who's not a fan of destroying books but this is lovely.
I really hope your DS gets to make them.

You must be so proud of him!

goldface · 24/06/2019 16:39

edwardcullensotherwoman · 24/06/2019 16:40

Happy to help Smile
I think it's lovely, different to the usual garden or conservatory ornaments. Well done to your DS!

Something really unusual and what a great use of books that might otherwise end up being destroyed or just lingering on a shelf forever.

Good luck

Gigia · 24/06/2019 16:41

Done and I love it

listsandbudgets · 24/06/2019 16:42

PS said I would 't recommend it ot others. Tell him not to be downhearted if he sees that Its because I never recommend something I don't already have experience of myself

TazzaRazza · 24/06/2019 16:43

Done! Well done him!

TooGood2BeFalse · 24/06/2019 16:46

Done!I really like it.Stylish but not 'twee'.

My eldest aged 7 has ASD, I totally get your pride at the suit thing, I cried when he wore his (polyester) costume for his school show with no complaints..first year ever!!

Bufferingkisses · 24/06/2019 16:47

Done, really attractive looking piece Smile

ThatCurlyGirl · 24/06/2019 16:47

Ooh and an idea, they could donate a percentage of either turnover or profits to a charity related to literacy skills - one for kids to have access to reading and writing support or maybe one that helps adults who can't read or write?

TrixieFranklin · 24/06/2019 16:50

Another questioning the outdoor use / weatherproofing having answered before RTFT! Lovely bird house would be lovely in our great grandmothers conservatory.

Magissa · 24/06/2019 16:51

Done. It's quirky I like it.

really like it, and want one now for my garden!

I also asked about waterproofing, so glad they ave thought of that

bananaskinsnomnom · 24/06/2019 16:56

I’ve filled it in - hope it works out for him. Even if he doesn’t win, he could do well putting a few together himself and selling. If he really put in some effort they could do well. Collect books from charity shops and such- I like it! I would probably have it as decor rather than a functioning bird box (because I’m useless with animals) but it’s right up my street!

SkydivingKittyCat · 24/06/2019 16:57

Love it! Instantly can think of 3 people I'd buy this for as a gift.

Best of luck sqeakywheel jnr!

Have completed the survey

Ifeelinclined · 24/06/2019 16:59

Done. Good luck to him! It's a lovely idea!

Knittedfairies · 24/06/2019 17:00

Done! I want one...

caz114 · 24/06/2019 17:00

Done- lovely idea

shreddednips · 24/06/2019 17:01

Done! I put 'maybe' for buying it because I thought it was an indoor ornament. Now I know it's waterproof I would definitely buy it as a gift! It's really creative, well done to your DS!
