Just moved to a new house. I feel stupid asking this but can anyone tell me which setting is the one to turn the oven on? Not the grill just the normal oven.

The square with the fan in it should do it!

Pizzaaddict · 24/06/2019 11:19

Thanks!

Does the orange light go out after a few minutes? Is it warming up a bit but not to oven temperature?

Does it do anything different on the setting above that appears to be a fan but without wavy lines?

Can you find the instruction book on the internet if there's any clue on the oven as to the brand?

Are you desperately trying to get it ready to cook a pizza, as per your username?

Pizzaaddict · 24/06/2019 11:47

Lol it was actually a pizza but we have literally just moved in and I haven’t the energy for anything more.

It gets warm but not to oven temperature and the orange light goes off.

If the light goes off, that means it is getting to the set temperature.

May be stating the obvious a bit, but have you adjusted the dial on the right? It's currently set to about 120 C, which is quite a low oven, and you'd want it more like 190 -200 C to cook pizza. Have you tried turning that dial up to about 200 and does that make the light come back on again and then go off after a few minutes, when the oven should be hotter.

Itellpeopletogoogleit · 24/06/2019 11:52

Well looking at your photo it's on 110 degrees which is about half the temperature it needs to be!

BubblesBuddy · 24/06/2019 11:56

Your oven temp in the picture is only set on 130. That’s warmish. It needs to be 170 or even more. The light should mean it’s heating up. However they can be faulty.

You can google the make of the oven and then drill down and find the operating manual. Many of them are on line.

It was on a higher setting when I was attempting to cook the pizza I took that picture before after fiddling about with it for a second.

Thanks Barbara I will try again, ignored the light before didn’t realise it going off meant that.
