Best ways to get over a stomach bug?

Monday last week I started feeling sick and pretty ropey. Woke up in the night with a fever of 102f and all day Tuesday had a badly upset stomach, to the point where I couldn't even drink water without it causing issues, and high temperature. It had mostly cleared up by Thursday afternoon/evening and my appetite slowly came back over the weekend. The problem I'm having now is that often when I eat I'm getting bad stomach cramps and my stomach just generally feels unsettled. I'm guessing this might be due to the gut flora being upset or something so wondering whether to try a probiotics. Is there anything else I can try? I'm trying to drink lots of water after 48 hours of barely being able to drink anything whilst still breastfeeding, so I'm conscious I probably got very dehydrated. I think I probably need to rest more but DS is 5 months old, breastfed and wakes throughout the night so more sleep isn't a hugely possible option. I just want to feel well again now, bored of feeling like I can't be too far from the loo or need to carry Rennie with me!

Ever since having numerous bladder infections I have bought the original Greek yoghurt ( Total 0% fat or 5%) as it contains probiotics which a lot of the yoghurts don’t. You need to read the ingredients.
I was building up for another infection when I tried using it. It cleared it up and after 18 months I still take it daily and so far so good. My SIL also had the same problem and decided to use it. When she contacted me recently she made a point of telling me that she too had been infection free. I know it’s not the same problem but would think there is a good chance it could help clear up your stomach problem Maybe worth a go!
