Monday last week I started feeling sick and pretty ropey. Woke up in the night with a fever of 102f and all day Tuesday had a badly upset stomach, to the point where I couldn't even drink water without it causing issues, and high temperature. It had mostly cleared up by Thursday afternoon/evening and my appetite slowly came back over the weekend. The problem I'm having now is that often when I eat I'm getting bad stomach cramps and my stomach just generally feels unsettled. I'm guessing this might be due to the gut flora being upset or something so wondering whether to try a probiotics. Is there anything else I can try? I'm trying to drink lots of water after 48 hours of barely being able to drink anything whilst still breastfeeding, so I'm conscious I probably got very dehydrated. I think I probably need to rest more but DS is 5 months old, breastfed and wakes throughout the night so more sleep isn't a hugely possible option. I just want to feel well again now, bored of feeling like I can't be too far from the loo or need to carry Rennie with me!
