Help put my mind at ease...

Ok so I have had a couple of different posts up recently, but I'm still at a stage where I am mentally tearing my hair out.

AF is now 5 days late, with no signs of coming.

Everything leading up to the arrival of AF was normal.
Well a little more intense than normal.

I suffer with IBS and Acid Reflux and the days leading up to AF are usually more painful than normal, but this time around it was more Intense than it has ever been.

I have taken 4 PT last one being yesterday (at 4 days late) and each one is a BFN.

I've been doing some reading and it gives conditions for when you should see your GP.. at the 3rd month of missed AF. Do I really have to wait this long?

I am TTC and at 35 so this is making matters in my own head worse.

There are no more symptoms to even suggest AF is on the way. But up until 3 day past due, I've had twanging, but nothing else.

Has anybody else had similar happen ?

I don't have much help for your specific situation OP but stress nearly always knocks my period a week or so late (unless I'm using the pill). I'm sorry, the waiting really sucks, especially when you're TTC! The only thing I CAN suggest is going to amazon and getting a bumper pack of those ovulation tests, then you'll know if you're actually late or if you just ovulated later than you think. It'll help for the next cycle, but not this one.

Best of luck

Thank you @Damntheman

I have been more stressed in previous months that I have been the last few months (until now of course) so would have thought I would be OK - but then again, the more stress this causes, the longer I suppose I will be.

Thanks for the recommendation - I will be having a look on Amazon now,

I have managed to get myself an appointment with the GP to for tomorrow morning, and you watch - tomorrow will be the day AF arrives!!

Really want to take another test - but there is just no point and more waste of money.

Getting an appointment with the GP (and telling my mum) were the only sure fire ways I found of getting AF to show up Grin

Take the OV tests the whole way through your cycle and not just when you think you ovulated. If you're anything like me your body will enjoy playing silly beggars and put you all over the place. I used to tape them to A4 sides of paper in order of date so I could watch for the line darkening.

Well I still haven't told the OH as I don't want to worry him, as two of us worrying is never going to help matters.

I always thought OVTs were a fad - but I think you are right - definitely something I should be doing and paying close attention to. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks again x
