I am, what a high emotion match.

WhyNotAlready · 23/06/2019 18:35

The children are (ours plus various neighbours!) Lots of excited shouting coming from the living room

Frith2013 · 23/06/2019 18:36

Yes - what a weak referee!

aleC4 · 23/06/2019 18:39

Dreadful behaviour from the Cameroon team. They should be disciplined. Phil Neville speaking very strongly right now and I totally agree with him.

User10fuckingmillion · 23/06/2019 18:42

It was too tense for me!

NoBaggyPants · 23/06/2019 18:42

That was bizarre! The Cameroon team were out of control, they even ignored their own manager.

Entertaining to watch, but not fair on the England team who must be wondering what the hell just happened.

Glitterkitten24 · 23/06/2019 18:44

It was a belter of a game!
Disgraceful behaviour from cameroon and poor refereeing.

Phil Neville didn’t mince his words at full time.

TidyDancer · 23/06/2019 18:47

The ref lost control way before the end. Cameroon were collectively disgusting and some of the players utterly vile. I thought Phil Neville handled the interview at the end with dignity but could only just contain his anger.

MistyReturns · 23/06/2019 18:49

I now have a huge crush on Phil. He's clearly very passionate about women's football and doesn't want it put into disrepute. The England team played very well & cleanly in the face of it - probably quite confused by it all.
I have no idea what Cameroon we're thinking?!?! Was it over-passionate or just bad sportsmanship? It was bizarre

Meltedicicle · 23/06/2019 18:51

Yes. V poor refereeing, I really don’t know what she was doing. But well done England and that last goal-brilliant!

user1471453601 · 23/06/2019 19:04

The ref was truly shit. She should have carded the Cameroon players as soon as they started harassing her after the first goal. The game totally got away from the ref. The pundit who spoke about her on BBC was spot on.

It took the pleasure away from the English women who clearly felt they couldn't celebrate at the end.

I'm a LFC supporter and know what failure and success feels like, but, really, have some dignity. Failure is part of football, get used to it. It makes success all the sweeter.

I'm disappointed that women behaved so badly.

And yes, I hold women to higher standards than men

Blueemeraldagain · 23/06/2019 19:12

It was uncomfortable viewing. My DP is a semi professional referee and is loathe to criticise any “colleague” (especially female officials who are still seen as an easy target by many) but even he was Hmm. I feel for the Cameroon manager, he was their fitness coach before and has only been in post since January. I wonder if he is finding the step up difficult. I’m thinking in particular when he was hugging the upset player.

BigSandyBalls2015 · 23/06/2019 19:22

Love Phil and yes the ref was truly shit, shocking

Ref was shocking and so were Cameroon . Love Phil too . Well done England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

ForalltheSaints · 23/06/2019 20:09

Watched it, glad England won, but the referee was the poorest I've seen in the tournament.
