Too much water

I'm 37+2 pregnant with my first. Been diagnosed with preeclampsia last week and baby suddenly measured massive so was referred for a scan, which showed there's way too much water around the baby.
I was tested for gestational diabetes which came back negative, and I won't find out if it's an infection for around a week. I'm not seeing any doctors for a couple days either so can't ask any questions.
Has anybody else gone through something similar and can tell me what happened? Did they just leave baby and monitor the situation? Midwives have mentioned induction briefly but haven't answered any questions so was anybody induced and what made them decide to do that? Is the wobbly bump that's painful when touched normal?
