Colonoscopy tomorrow.. Moviprep.... Feeling yuck..

I'm having a colonoscopy tomorrow as GP thinks I have diverticulitis. I'd heard how vile the moviprep was but didn't realise... 🤮 🤮 🤮 🤮 🤮
Only got an upstairs loo so have been confined to bedroom since 6.30 pm.

I'm starving too as haven't eaten since 9am.
My lovely medical friend is taking me tomorrow and Mum's doing one of my fave meals when I get home....

I’ve recently had one and had plenvu (was just as gross) moviprep is nasty nasty stuff!! But it certainly works.

Yep. It's vile. Worse than the colonoscopy if that's any help. Good luck and insist on max sedation (I have at least one a year, be kind to yourself)

Used to tell my patients "it makes you shine on the inside 😉". Good luck op it will be over before you know it!

Horrible stuff, you can flavour it with lemon or lime but still foul. Swig moviprep and immediately swig something palatable. Don’t forget to drink eater/ lemonade or you’ll end up with a rotten head through dehydration. As a poster above said this is worse than the procedure. Oh and whilst still on the loo sudocreme is your friend!

Water! Not eater!

Done this 3 times and I find the starvation worse than the prep! Just look forward to it being over and getting home and pampered

I've been drinking diet coke, smearing vaseline on my rear. I've booked Monday off work...

All done and I got home at 2pm. It is def diverticulitis...

Glad it is over. Responding here in case others are prepping. I found clear apple juice helpful. It also keeps your blood sugar up a bit. Moviprep is disgusting but better if really cold and drunk very fast.

Nothing yet. Was told to take seeds out of tomato 🍅 and 🥒. Not eat seeded 🥪 😔 will go back to GP and see what he says..

My GP only gave me painkillers which I hardly ever use. It’s not a nice thing to have I’ve suffered a few years with it. Wish you all the best.
