I work for the public sector and moved jobs last year when my service was being reshaped. Three months after I left everyone in my old role got a payrise including backdated pay. I've been in this service earning 4k less than my old colleagues for over a year and the opportunity to go back to my job has came up.
I would go back to a job I enjoyed on a higher wage, however my manager told me that they are hoping to raise my current wage in line with the other service and we would be getting back pay aswell.
I'm worried I will leave this job and the same thing will happen again! I will miss out on thousands of pounds for the second time! Wwyd? The wage increase in this service isn't definite and they haven't told us when. I also enjoy my last job more but this one has more flexibility and shorter days.
