Someone recorded DS peeing

It has come to our attention that a 'friend'of my son (age14) recorded him peeing. What would you do about this - complain to the school/police? I found out via a third party.

Videoed or just sound recording? Does your DS know? Where did this happen? Do you know the person who told you is telling the truth?

My instinct says police. This is a nasty, calculated and covert act. Your DS won't have been the only one, and if he is, he won't be the only one. It needs nipping in the bud, and now.

What an upsetting invasion of privacy for your DS, and what a horrible shock for both of you.

School first, see what they do about it.

Call the police. If it actually shows him peeing then that's an offence of making (and possibly distributing) child pornography even if it was done by another child. Let the school know by all means but speak to the police first.

Nothing whatsoever to do with the school unless it was on school premises.

Speak to the kid’s parents, and/or the police.

What does your son think?

Has it been distributed on social media.

In public ? Are his genitals on show?

I haven't seen the video - sorry it wasn't just sound recording. That was a bit misleading. I found out from the school but it wasn't taken at school.

Does your ds know? Was it another boy the same age? Where did it happen? You need facts.

Happened outside school. Other child same age.

This just happened to someone I know. It was recorded and uploaded to YouTube. Police got involved and of course SS ......

It's not good!!!! You need to act.
