Housing Assosciation

Hi All

Just querying about a few things, are all housing Associations the same like do they all work together? Reason I’m asking is I’m in temporary accommodation with my son and partner. we’ve been offered a house with an association however I’ve had an association house before and ended up in rent arrears just before my son was born because my universal credit was all muddled up and I couldn’t afford to pay the rent so ended up having to leave one week in back to parents. I pay back £30 a month but I’m just worried I won’t get the house if that’s the case that the rental arrears can be seen.

Have the Housing Association done a budgeting form with you? OR have you filled in forms which say your income?

This is an affordability check and they won't offer you a house you can't afford.

They all vary. If you currently have an arrangement for your arrears they can ignore the no arrears condition.
congratulations Gin new home.
