What time would you start?

I live in a first floor flat with nobody above me. I've been awake since 5am, my nesting instinct has finally kicked in at 37 weeks and I feel the need to clean! More specifically hoover. I'm aware that the sound proofing isn't very good between my floor/their ceiling, although next door can't hear anything from me. I know downstairs aren't up yet so I'm not going to start now but any clues as to when would be acceptable, regardless of whether they're up or not?

9.00am

On a Saturday I'd leave hoovering it 10 unless I heard they were awake.

Forgot it was a Saturday! I was thinking 8am was okay so glad I asked - I have issues with these neighbours and how much noise they produce so I don't want to get into a game of tit for tat! Thank you 😊

I think 9am ish too. On a weekday that would be the time that children are at school/nursery and many people will be at work.

This is one of the reasons i would love to live in a detached house as I'm up all night with insomnia and could get loads done Grin

Good luck op.

9 am for sure!

Do something silent like bathroom or kitchen instead x

mylittlenugget · 22/06/2019 06:21

I've decided to have a quick bath and then I'll be sweeping and mopping instead. Don't have the need to do that like I have the need to do the hoovering though. Apparently even when nesting my body doesn't want to do too much housework 😂

Saturday I'd say 9am but 10am is better.

Lauren83 · 22/06/2019 06:38

I would say 8am but I'm in a house, I would say 9am for a flat, I'm 39 weeks and really want to take the bins and recycling out but won't let myself until 9am as it's full of glass bottles and cat food tins. Been up since 5am resisting the urge!

mylittlenugget · 22/06/2019 07:28

Oh no I forgot to do the bins yesterday! At least I never generate enough rubbish to fill them so they can last another two weeks I suppose 🤦‍♀️
My aim is definitely to have a detached house so I never have to worry again about making too much noise too early!
