the trump and the boris what a shitshow the western world has become and what an embarrassing time to be part of.

I wonder what she found on his laptop that was so incriminating?

I vote for swapping dirty tales of sexual conquests with Jacob Rees-Mogg... in Latin!

ineedaknittedhat · 22/06/2019 04:45

The gf should be ashamed of herself for being with such an awful man. He's a complete tosser. What is she thinking? She must be one of these women who get off on being with a man who is in power. She should have more self respect.

“That neighbour called the police but also shared the recording with the Guardian. “

My first thought when I read this was I wonder how much they got paid for the story. Cynical, I know.

lonelyplanetmum · 22/06/2019 06:12

I find it very odd that some of the electorate are willing believe very serious deceits repeated by Boris Johnson and other politicians like him.

Yet when there is an accurate account like this (which substantiated by solid evidence) there is reluctance to believe it.

The account was recorded and heard by the Guardian. The quotes are precise and accurate. The police (eventually) confirmed they attended the property.

Any young girl who gets involved with a man who is still in a 24 year marriage shows a lack of morals, as does he. As a mid life crisis DH on the relationships board he'd be flamed.
However because she is the OW this does not mean that she deserves to be in a situation with loud crashing, screaming and being sufficiently anxious that she is repeatedly shouting " get out" and says " get off me"..

One year into a relationship how many couple argue like this..it's still a honeymoon period with no arguments at that stage surely? Or only very minor ones. They haven't been living together that long so it should be harmonious. The level of noise and length of the argument sounds serious.

The aspects that are insightful are that she sees him as being "spoilt" and not "caring about anything".

Also why was she using his laptop rather than her own? That suggests she was verifying something he'd said as she didn't believe it.

Obviously there are many non prime ministerial aspects to this. If he becomes prime minister can he even be trusted with confidential matters of state as he is as lax with access to his laptop as he is with what he says ?

Of 60 plus million people this is the best human being we can find for the top job? Our postman would honestly make a better prime minister.

lonelyplanetmum · 22/06/2019 06:17

Showing my age there.she is a young woman not a girl. Apologies. But whatever lack of judgment she has show, she doesn't deserve to feel fear and the lack of respect she has received. This is not statesmanlike conduct.

Helmetbymidnight · 22/06/2019 06:20

this will only make the brexiteering/tories like him more.

this is who they are.

has anyone found out how many children boris has? hes still got the super-injunction up hasnt he.

oh well, thats boris - he can do anything.

Helmetbymidnight · 22/06/2019 06:22

why wouldnt you take it to the papers?

is the idea that when you hear the future pm abusing his young gf you shouldnt tell anyone?

Laurajjj · 22/06/2019 06:30

The commentators did say the only way Boris could lose the vote is if Boris did something very Boris-like. That the next door neighbour decided to sell their story to the guardian of all papers is sus though.

Isatis · 22/06/2019 06:37

Am I the only one who is shock at three police vehicles arriving in minutes?

Hardly surprising when the call relates to the house where someone who may well be Prime Minister soon lives.

Helmetbymidnight · 22/06/2019 06:38

why is it 'sus'? can you explain please?

MoggyP · 22/06/2019 06:41

"Police attended and spoke to all occupants of the address, who were all safe and well. There were no offences or concerns apparent to the officers and there was no cause for police action.”

Yes, I was wondering why they sold the story.

bookgirl1982 · 22/06/2019 06:41

Anyone else find it a bit strange that the apparently PM in waiting doesn't have a police protection officer with him at all times?

lonelyplanetmum · 22/06/2019 06:42

That the next door neighbour decided to sell their story to the guardian

We don't know the neighbours sold it. The Guardian would probably pay the least anyway. Hard to know which paper to choose. Probably not the Independent as Carrie Symond's Father founded it and her mother was responsible for its legal advice!

Helmetbymidnight · 22/06/2019 06:44

do people think it didnt happen then? who do you think is lying?

you cant believe that good old boris would shout and intimidate his young gf?

otterturk · 22/06/2019 06:46

I know when I'm concerned for my neighbours I sell the tape to a hostile newspaper

Helmetbymidnight · 22/06/2019 06:48

i dont know what you mean.

they called the police- we know the papers got the story- pos they sold it.

what would you like them to have done for boris?

Helmetbymidnight · 22/06/2019 06:49

people here are genuinely annoyed with the neighbours!

fucking hell.

RuggyPeg · 22/06/2019 06:53

It won't affect him in the slightest. No one gives a shit about women and domestic abuse.

Helmetbymidnight · 22/06/2019 06:53

boris is the victim in this and thats because:

a. he didnt do it - everyone is lying
b. it doesnt matter if he did it because she deserves it/selling the story is worse?

is that right?

lonelyplanetmum · 22/06/2019 06:56

Of course it happened. There is an accurate account with specific quotes (substantiated by solid evidence).

Why on Earth. Is there any reluctance to believe it yet the electorate are willing to embrace very serious deceits repeated by Boris Johnson and other politicians like him.

Boris Johnson's cooperation in planning an assault on a journalist also happened years ago. The voters continue to think that this person is an appropriate role model and leader..

Helmetbymidnight · 22/06/2019 06:56

It won't affect him in the slightest. No one gives a shit about women and domestic abuse

they actually like it. (see trump) means he's a 'strong' leader- he'll tell the europeans to fuck off etc etc.

BalloonSlayer · 22/06/2019 07:24

To those wondering why the police arrived so quickly - do you really imagine the caller didn't say "it's Boris Johnson's house" ?

Hinchunup · 22/06/2019 07:44

Is there a domestic abuse protocol for incidents whereby not only do police check on the wellbeing of persons involved, they thoroughly investigate the matter arresting suspect, carrying out door to door enquiries and making thorough reports in case of future allegations? This cannot be the end of the matter surely?
