so boring but...

any ideas why i just don't find a bowl of porridge oats as filling as 'everyone' seems to suggest? this morning ate porridge oats , blueberries & half med banana with greek yoghurt. c 8am. ravenous now.

Pumpkin or sunflower seeds add extra protein and might keep you feeling fuller for longer. I love them in porridge made with coconut milk :)

tbh tried adding things - still the same. it's a shame really because it feels like a great thing to have! better than egg & avo/ bacon etc that does keep me full

Do you use low fat yogurt? Switch to normal but less of it but this is why I dont eat my breakfast until around 10am. I'm fine if I dont eat first thing but have breakfast early and I'm hungry way earlier.

Nothing wrong with egg and avo! Maybe not the bacon every day if it's got all the bad stuff in it, but I think you can get without these days.

The only thing that fills me up until lunch time is something egg based. Not always easy tho when you have to get up early for work.

You're right, OP. Eat porridge for breakfast, and know with certainty that you'll be starving in two hours.

Same. We had porridge for breakfast yesterday and I was absolutely starving after two hours.
