Any doctors or dentists about to look at this lump (pic)

Hi, I'm posting for traffic and hopefully some reassurance. I noticed today there seemed to be something in my throat when I swallow. After much poking around I've noticed this at the back of my mouth. The dentist is now closed and of course Google says its cancer. It doesnt hurt and I haven't had a sore throat. I used to stupidly smoke for 9 years which is what is making me panic. Any advice is appreciated. I will ring in the morning for an appointment. Not sure if I need a doctor or a dentist.

Hello, I have very similar and wonder if you got results on what it was. I am worried as I noticed one 18 month ago and a dr said it was an inflammatory lump and would go...I think it did...but I have been to a different dr today with something else and he saw another and doesnt know what it is..I have been to dentists in between and theyve said nothing

I had the exact same about 10 years ago. Showed dentist and he booked me in the hospital to have it removed and biopsy. Nothing sinister :)

I think it must come and go as I had one about 18 months ago and I have been to a dentist since and nothing has been mentioned. Thanks for helping with your answer because I am worried...I have sore throat but I have a lot of mucus which i think is the cause.
