can anyone recommend a sim only or a PAYG for a teen please?

We all use Giff Gaff. It’s only £10 a month for quite a generous ‘goody bag’, and they let you know at the end of the month if you’re on the right plan. (Cheaper and more expensive)

Proof that they do advise cheaper plans

Seconding giffgaff I buy the cheapest one. I think it's about 6pounds but if you run out of minutes etc you can tip up more or start another bundle early.

thanks everyone

Thirding GiffGaff. Cheap and as me and DC are all on it, our texts and calls to one another are free.

Giffgaff. Definitely

Are you with Sky or Virgin as they have discounted packages.
I'm with Sky and I have 2 Sim only contracts, unlimited texts and calls, 2 gig data for £4.50 each per month plus you can claim back any unused data (unlikely with teens Grin ).

I just signed up to VOXI. £10 per month for 8gb but endless social media usage (which I imagine would be popular with a teen), I think endless texts and minutes too.

I'm with Sky so will have a look, thanks. The Voxi looks great too.
