Cuba / Varadero

Has anyone been to Varadero in Cuba? Looking at the Paradisus Varadero Spa Resort. Thoughts please.

We did a few nights in Havana then stayed in the Iberostar Varadero, it was nice enough but we're not really all inclusive lovers and got quite bored apart from the days we went diving. We wished we had stayed longer in Havana with less time at the beach.
