DS11, was sucking a plastic cup around his mouth for ages.

He now has a lovely big lovebite all round his mouth. It’s not going, in fact it’s getting worse!

He’s refusing to go to school with it tomorrow, how can I make it go away?!!

He’s icing it now

Arnica gel or a vit E capsule that you can break and use to soothe it. Oh dear, bless him 😂

MyNameIsCharlesII · 19/06/2019 22:24

I’d go with the allergic reaction story.

waterrat · 19/06/2019 22:33

Keep him off school. Life is long. A few days at home won't change his life. Its like an injury . Think of it that way

BrokenWing · 19/06/2019 22:34

That could be there for a week or more, he'll need to go in and front it out at some point, unless you will keep him off until it goes away!! Good lesson on learning to laugh at yourself when you do something daft, kids lose interest quickly if he laughs and agrees with them and shows the ribbing doesn't bother him. He'll look more of a pillock if he calls in sick the rest of this week then goes in with it still there on Monday.

BrokenWing · 19/06/2019 22:38

Allergic reaction sounds like a good story, but the school might want to know what he is allergic too.

BillywilliamV · 19/06/2019 22:39

False moustache and beard?

SkintAsASkintThing · 19/06/2019 22:47

I did this years ago 😂😂😂

PristineCondition · 19/06/2019 22:50

Right of passage!

I did the Dalek thing on my forehead too, lasted for days 😂

Morticiaismystyleicon · 19/06/2019 22:51

If he must go in with it I'd tell him to say to his peers he fell and smashed his mouth on something or that he took a ball to the mouth playing football, someone threw a tennis ball that hit him in the face etc.

Toddlerteaplease · 19/06/2019 22:52

I did this once. Did t last long and I just told people what I'd done!

LilouBlue · 19/06/2019 22:52

Arnicare is magic for love bites. I've had some huge ones that have disappeared in a matter of days with that stuff, I don't know how it works I just know that it does!

Nothing helpful to add, just 😂😂😂
