Kid party - help needed

Name changed cause I've fucked op.

So it's DDs birthday at the end of July. She doesn't want a whole class party. She wants to invite a selected few to a "pool party" at our house. In reality that's a paddling pool in the garden. Personally I don't want it at our house plus the parents hanging around traipsing in and out of our house.

I have also left it far too late to organise anything and I'm panicking. Has anyone got any ideas what I can do?

I think a paddling pool party sounds lovely. Could you state on the invite for the parents to drop off so that you haven’t got to entertain adults as well?

How old is she?
Could you have it at the local swimming pool?

Trampoline party
Bowling
Soft play
Ice skating
Laser Tag
Science Party
Cinema

It really depends on the age

You haven't left it too late, how big is your garden ?

MrsJonesAndMe · 18/06/2019 12:17

How old are they? Can they be left instead of parents coming in?

FusionChefGeoff · 18/06/2019 13:09

My friend hired a hot tub for her DD party and said it was the best party she'd ever done

BooksAreMyOnlyFriends · 18/06/2019 13:14

How old?

Around these parts kids over 5 are usually left at parties.

Check out your local pool. Ours does great parties. 40 mins poolside and an hour in the party room for food.

Is there a splash park near you? Bring a picnic and some ice creams in a cool box.

Pay to take them to the local swimming pool, would need some adults to come too for ratio. Then ask venue to do food in party room or my friend just did her own food and sat in the cafe.

Thanks for the replies. She is going to be 5. Our garden isn't massive but not small. Probably the size of 6 garages in an L shape.

(Trying to sneak replies whilst at work Grin)

At 5 and with a paddling pool, at least some parents would probably want to stay. I know our kids wouldn't stay at a party without us at that age.

Just thinking do you have room for a bouncy castle ? Don't know where you live but where I am they are about £50-£70 for the day. Then pass the parcel, musical statues, party food not too much organising and kids love a bouncy castle.
