Do you get all the booklets at your first meeting of Slimming World?

Essentially, can you go to one meeting and get all the food lists and calculators or do you get it over a period of weeks so that you have to keep going back?

You get the book and have a meeting with the newbies where the leader will explain it all (in my experience anyway!).

I can’t actually remember though if we had to pay any extra. I think I paid up front for three months.

You get everything when you sign up, books food list etc. Not sure what calculator you mean but I don't think you get one you also get a membership number to sign up for the app which is really useful (but if you don't keep going to group it will kick you off)
It may be helpful to go at least a few times to really get your head around it

Ok, I’m going to give it a go. Dread to think how heavy I’m going to be!!

Good luck! It really does work, I'd never been on a diet in my life and thought I'd last a week and managed 6 months and lost 3 stone in that time. Plenty water and plenty vegetables is my tip.

Thanks Grey, did you keep it off?! Grin

Yes you get the book that explains the plan and has all the syns in there and healthy extras etc but I've never seen or heard of a SW calculator?

iklboo · 18/06/2019 17:28

There is no SW calculator, but you do get the books & leaflets with all the info in and some lists of syns, details of free and speed foods etc.

@21daysofsummer well everyone always says you pile it back on plus some more after you stop following it but after I reached my target and stopped going I started again 3 years later and had put about a stone back on.... but I was totally not watching what I ate because I love food so I don't think that's too bad. Started again in April and I'm almost at 1 1/2 stone down. You can do it, the good thing is if you're hungry you can eat just as long as it's the right food.
