Wasp sting advice pls

posting here for traffic...

DD (14) was stung by a wasp 2 weeks ago. She always reacts badly to stings, and her arm swelled up. Went to GP and got antibiotics. Took them for a week and the sting went down, no mark left.

Yesterday it came back up - same place, same sting, not a new one - red and sore and hot again. Have given her piriton;

Why would it do this? Is the infection still there? Does it need another trip to the GP? She's now got a UTI so is on ABs for that. but is otherwise well - ie no temperature.

yes, back to gp
next time - hopefully never - give an antihistamine right after it happened and cool the sting site.

It may be worth going to a chemist 1st As you are likely to have to wait days / weeks for a docs appointment.

I have taken her to a pharmacy. Pharmacy advised a GP appt but I think they err on the side of caution.

I did that the first time, orange. Giving her piriton and ice again now.

I've seen a gadget that acts like a tens machine and zaps the sting, has anyone tried it?

My DS1 has had bad reaction to fly bites and has needed really strong prescribed antihistamine. More powerful than piriton.
If the red area is spreading, this warrants emergency GP appointment.
