Lump on back can anyone help?

I have a plum sized lump on my trapezius muscle, at the top of my shoulder. It’s flexible and moves about but feels very hard when I press on it. No pain. Can anyone help? Freaking out!

Probably a fatty pad/ lipoma and harmless but I'd check with your GP to be on the safe side.

Go to GP.

Thanks for advice! I booked an urgent appointment and ended up seeing the nurse practitioner who thinks it is a lipoma but has referred me to the doctor. Is this standard?

I think this is standard practice. Once you’ve seen the gp, see if they’ll refer you to a specialist. I imagine it’s obvious and annoying.

Yes, is standard. GP will refer if they think necessary.
