Living in Ireland, hoping to come to london for a few days in august with dh, and DC 16, 12, 9. What musical would be good for all the kids to see?

Wicked!

Agree with MoMandaS. We saw Aladdin and Matilda and I think that either would also appeal to all ages

Any of the above, Lion King, Joseph.

If it's in August check out Kids Theatre Week, they (used to at least) have free kids tickets.

Kids London Theatre week offers started last week and there are still some good offers on. It is also worth signing up to theatre email newsletters as offers are often sent through. This year I got good tickets for The Play That Goes Wrong and School of Rock. Last year I got Kinky Boots and Young Frankenstein. I also got priority booking for Dear Evan Hansen through signing up in advance to the Delfont Mackintosh Theatre group emails.

I would also recommend Six at the Arts Theatre. It about the six wives of Henry the 8th - has great songs and music, is very funny and is only 1hr 20mins long. My DD and I have been twice already since it started its London run last year!
