Have you ever bought 'extra storage' on iCloud?

New baby means I've now got 1300 photos on my phone! I keep getting a message saying my iCloud is full and to purchase more storage.

Anyone ever done this?

Yes I have 50g extra storage. I think I pay less than £1 a month for it.

BlackCatSleeping · 17/06/2019 12:04

Yeah, I did in the end. I'm sure if I was more organised, I could transfer the photos elsewhere, but iCloud storage is really cheap, and it saves me the hassle.

Puddingsmummy · 17/06/2019 12:08

Do you have to pay monthly or can you pay yearly too?

Yes, I pay 79p a month which is worth it just to get rid of the 'iCloud is full' message that popped up all the time.

GiantKitten · 17/06/2019 12:12

I pay £2.49 for 200GB. I used to have a 64GB phone which was full; I have a bigger phone now, so don't need it for that, but do need it for backup.

I pay 79p a month but I can't remember how much extra this gives me.

TheCraicDealer · 17/06/2019 12:14

I do as well. Although the cheaper option is getting a Box account- it's free and there's an app you can get for your phone so you can add, download and retrieve images and videos as you like. I got it to save wedding photos and will use it for videos once baby is born so I can try to collate footage and not lose anything!

No need as I have Amazon Prime which has unlimited photo storage as part of the package

BlackCatSleeping · 17/06/2019 12:18

How do you transfer your photos to Amazon Prime @weemouse
? Do you have to keep deleting them off your phone?

Soola · 17/06/2019 12:26

Free photo storage with google

babysharkah · 17/06/2019 12:50

I use google photos

MyNameIsCharlesII · 17/06/2019 13:06

I use Google Photos instead.

DelurkingAJ · 17/06/2019 13:09

No, I transfer photos off my phone and back them up instead.

(I may still burn them to CDs...DSis laughed at me a lot when I told her this but with broadband of 0.5MBs on a good day the cloud isn’t very appealing).

Tsaminaminazangalewa · 17/06/2019 13:36

I use google photos instead.
