Upgrading mobile phone..help needed!

I am due to upgrade my phone...was going Sim only but found a good deal on Mobile phones direct for Samsung S9.
Now...how easy is it to move my data over? I am using same network..EE.

Doesn't it work as a separate entity?

Also you may have to transfer yr number to another network and then transfer it back to EE. I was with Vodafone and had to do this - something to do with it being a new account through a 3rd party.

If you already have a Samsung, just back up your existing phone and then use Samsung Smart Switch when you have both phones. It either connects with the cable or wirelessly and transfers everything to the new phone, even your wallpapers. So easy.
