What couldn’t you live without in your kitchen?

I’m back on the kitchen planning again.

So I’m thinking boiling water tap? Is it worth it? No kettle is hugely appealing!

What about a waste thingy in the plug hole?

Pop up sockets on the island?

What else would you recommend?

Used to have a boiling water tap at work and it was amazing.

Two bins - one for recycling, one for landfill (or more, depending on how your council does it)

Lots of storage

Easy to clean - minimise the nooks and crannies.

Gas hob and electric oven

Dishwasher.
A tall cupboard for appliances.
I don't like my toaster, mixer etc being out. I like to put them away.

Funny angles in my small kitchen prevented me having pan drawers, but the under-the-sink drawer means that area is always clean and organised, unlike my previous cupboard.

An oven.

Ooo forgot bins. Ours is a pull out drawer with 3 sections.

I love my pull out bin drawer with two bins, cooking range with electric ovens and gas hob but my favourite thing is my spice drawer!! All jars and packets lie on their side so really easy to find what you need.

RJnomore1 · 18/06/2019 09:23

Off to look at spice drawers!

Double oven - both full size. So 6 rings on top plus a fish burner/barbecue flat. And I have a combo microwave. The thought of doing Christmas for 16 without them makes me shiver!

Built in bins and recycling bins.

Waste disposal, dishwasher.
Lack of storage is an absolute killer, along with lack of bookshelves.

Pyrolytic ovens, my most hated job reduced to switching the setting on and wiping it an hour or so later.

Ovens at eye level, so much easier.

Boiling water tap, our does cold filtered water too but honestly I can't tell the difference, the tap water is lovely here though so maybe that's why.

Deep drawers, they're just better than cupboards.
