2 cards each (1 made at school and one at their childminders) and they each decorated a shopping bag for him (all sorted by wonderful childminder). Dp also got an extra lie in, and I would have cooked him something but he was off doing a hobby this weekend.

Nothing, we don't do fathers day. They are teenagers.

Fave chocolate and a t shirt, DC made him a card, went to local zoo as I have membership to go with DC in the week but dads went free today. He had a lie in too, lucky man!

Why are you asking? Did gifts cause an issue for you today?

WeaselMcWeasel · 16/06/2019 22:44

DS is 8 months. A card I bought, a card made at baby weigh in group and a trip to Woburn Safari. It was lovely☺️

I got a sleeping bag liner, book about garden brickwork, biltong & gin for dh. Cards made by dc. Went to Burger King for lunch as hadn't booked nearby restaurant & it was full.

Dd5 said she wanted salt on her chips & ds9 said she didn't need it. Dd said 'daddy got salt' & ds said 'well it is Father's Day...' so he also got salt on his chips!

Card, book and a bottle of whisky.

A personalised apron and chef's hat (white apron and hat + fabric pens) and a bottle of rum. Homemade card (potato prints!) And a meal at the local pub

Why? Are you writing an article?

SuperSange · 16/06/2019 23:16

Ds(5) got him some 'my dads a top banana ' socks from Fat Face, that he chose himself, a card written himself and toast in bed.

Our dog got her daddy a card and some aftershave.

Some posh scone, jam and clotted cream. He was chuffed to bits. He loves scones.

Father's Day card, chocolate shaped tools (hammer, screwdriver, measuring tape etc) and a mug with our kids faces on it from birth till now. We had a meal out and some dessert at home. Pretty good Father's Day I must say Smile

AlexaShutUp · 16/06/2019 23:48

My teenage dd gave her dad a card with a lovely message in it, but no gift. He doesn't really like presents at the best of times, and he thinks father's day is just a commercial thing, so she very wisely didn't bother buying anything.
