Recommend your 2 bed apartment holiday pls!

Looking at accommodation for next summer, we would ideally like 2 bedrooms rather than us or kids sleeping on sofa bed in the living area. Am struggling to find anything suitable. It needs to be an apartment as opposed to a hotel. Not interested in AI either. Spain, Majorca or Canaries. If you've stayed somewhere with fabulous 2 bedroom accommodation, please share where it was!

The only thing I didn't like was that it was a 30-40 minute walk along the seafront to the main part of Playa Blanca, but it was fine if you don't mind a walk, or driving. There was a childrens playpark, a restaurant and a Waitrose style supermarket a couple of minutes walk, a small village style shopping complex, sadly most of which was empty, but it was 5 years ago when we went.

There are quite a lot of bungalow complexes in Playa Blanca - generally 2 bedrooms and shared pools etc, so you might be able to find something closer to the marina, beach etc if that's what you prefer.

There are quite a few 2 bed apartments in the marina dor II complex in cala egos, Majorca. 5 min walk to shops/restaraunts/beach and marina. Nice complex with 7 pools, mainly private owners so pretty quiet, had a pool to ourselves most days and that was in July. Can't find the apartment I stayed in but it was similar to these > www.homeaway.co.uk/p8001322?noDates=true. Ours was a top floor with large terrace and roof terrace with amazing views.

I know you said not a hotel resort but I would still recommend the Barcelo Castillo Beach Resort in Fuerteventura. You can go on anything from self catering basis up to AI and they have 2 bed apartments. Book directly through Barcelo. Next to a brilliant beach and lots of amenities in the town. Very close to the airport.

Have you looked on holiday rentals/owners direct type of websites for privately owned apartments? You wouldn't have all the facilities of an aparthotel in terms of entertainment but you'd have a pool, possibly play area/tennis courts.

It's actually a hotel/resort I'm looking for but for self catering. And most resorts we've looked at only show one bedroom apartments. I prefer that as opposed to private rental as we like the place to be cleaned and sheets changed etc which you don't really get with private rentals. Yes, I'm picky 😅

Also went to Pine Cliffs in the Algarve last year which was gorgeous! It had a lovely kitchen and we did half self catering and half eating out. They cleaned it every day too and put the dishwasher on for us!
