It’s been a while since I’ve been thoroughly gripped to a book, any recommendations?

I really enjoyed my Mercedes
What was the last book you read? Do you have a genre?

ElizaPancakes · 15/06/2019 20:31

@bumble270 - do you mean Mr Mercedes? I’ve jsut finished the trilogy- have to say, that was my least favourite.

Still on a King kick though so reading Dr Sleep.

A book I can never put down and have read at least 10 times since it was released is The Year of the Flood by Margaret Atwood.

Yes 🙈 not paying attention Blush
I finished the book of dust recently, but his dark materials was my favourite growing up so it felt a bit nostalgic

Vox by Christina Dalcher was unputdownable for me. I also found The Truths and Triumphs of Grace Atherton by Anstey Harris kept me gripped.

I just finished Do You Dream of Terra Two? by Temi Oh about an hour ago and liked it a lot. Admittedly, I did spend several hours on a train yesterday but it’s about 500 pages and I read it in two days.

I normally take ages to get through a book, but I read Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys in one day. Could not stop reading it till I finished it, around 3am next morning!
