If you're overweight (as I am ) ...

How overweight are you? Was just thinking today that I've been overweight (that is in the BMI overweight category) now since DS was born, sixteen years ago. Thing is, I lose a bit, gain a bit, but my weight invariably ends up much the same, ie about a stone over the top end of ok.

Do others have this? If only I could lose enough to get down into the healthy weight category then I feel I'd have more success in maintaining my weight.

By BMI estimations I'm currently 4-5 stone overweight.

But then I'm also pregnant.

And actually, the last time I was my BMI healthy weight, I looked really ill and was a few inches shorter than I am now and 13 yrs old. So I don't know how it would look on me as a fully formed female with large hips now. Even worse probably

Similarly to you, I have been about 1.5stone overweight for the past few years since I had my daughter. Put on 5 stone when pregnant and managed to lose 3.5 stone but the last bit won't shift!!
I feel like I don't eat loads so can't understand it but must be going wrong somewhere!

I'm about 5 pounds overweight on the BMI scale. I've been losing weight for a year so I hope to hit healthy this summer.

I've been overweight for my whole adult life but only hit a bmi of 30 a year ago when I had a bad injury and it impaired movement. That kicked me into gear though so ive been losing ever since.

I’m a stone overweight but to me that’s a massive win as 18 months ago I was 5 stone overweight (I’ve had a baby in the inbetween so I’m actually quite proud of that)
Working on the last stone but that takes me to the top end of the healthy weight category so ideally would like to go further.
I was obese for a long time so I'm quite proud of myself being in the overweight category for a change!

I’m overweight by 3-4 stone - but until very recently I was obese, and at my highest had a BMI of just over 40. I’m still losing, and intend this to be a permanent change in habits. I think it’s worth the constant vigilance as a trade off for how much better I feel.

The BMI thing says I am 11 stone overweight- I’d say I need to lose 5 stone. If I lost 11 stone I would look horrendous.

I have lost 5 stones - several times- and then put it back on again. I now that this is my ideal weight- I have great tits, a nice bum and curves in perfect proportion at that weight.
So I’m working on it. Again.
But it’s hard.
I walk 20k steps a day. Everyday.
Can’t afford a gym.
My ‘apron’ is def reducing. I cut out snacks, halved the size of my dinner portions and drink 3l of water a day.
I am building up to running and I have just started doing Zumba videos I found on YouTube.
Every little helps right?!
