Following a recent post about embarrassing experiences following an embarrassing incident with some unusual bubble mix ingredients, a few people expressed interest in giant bubbling (like these photos).
After a week from hell with one of my twins having chicken pox, I’ve finally gotten round to making my giant bubbles concentrate and first diluted bottle. Anyone else interested in having fun with giant bubbles this summer? Could be fun to share info if anyone wants to join in!
Here’s my concentrate and first (nearly) litre of mix, will need to experiment to see how it goes and fine tune the ingredients and dilution amount.
This is the recipe I’ve started with:
soapbubble.fandom.com/wiki/Recipes_EGoo
Only three ingredients: fairy liquid, baking powder and J-Lube powder
For those interested, this bottle of concentrate cost about £1.50 to make, its made about 700ml of comcentrate and should overall make between 10-14 litres, depending on how much I dilute it. Given that the giant bubble mix I was buying cost £10 a litre, it’s an absolute bargain. Could be cheaper if I buy the J-Lube and fairy liquid in bulk.
