Hi All,
Ive just been looking for a recent thread on your real life stories, on seeing ghosts or paranormal activities that have happened to you, but couldnt find any
So, considering its a Friday evening, I thought Id start one for the weekend
Can I hear your stories please???

There was a shortish thread recently, I'll see if I can find it

My husband sometimes talks in his sleep. Once in the middle of the night he just randomly started screaming 'go away, get out!!' next to me. I woke up and tried to calm him down, he didnt actually even wake up, just stopped screaming and carried on sleeping. It was very dark and there was a storm outside so I was really quite shaken up. I turned the lamp on to try and calm down but I just couldn't stop feeling really anxious. So I decided to go downstairs to make myself a cup of tea.
When I switched on the downstairs hall light it lit up the fact that the front door was just stood wide open and torrents of rain were coming in. Obviously that really really shat me up because I was 100% sure I remembered closing the door myself before we went up to bed. Our house is also very rural and not even on a street. Its built into the side of a hill next to woodland. Theres no neighbours or anyone that would ever walk past that door.

I had to just double lock the door and sit there the rest of the night with all the lights and the TV on to calm down.

One of the things that has happened to me, is that I was sleeping on the sofa downstairs, as I was ill & couldn't make it up the stairs to bed, plus our bathroom is downstairs, so it made it a whole lot easier😀😀
One night/early morning, about 2.30am, I saw a lady walk through the wall from next door-I live in a terraced house, through the TV & stuff plugged into the TV, she saw me on the sofa, looking at her, chin on the floor, got a shock herself & did no more than turn around & walk back where she came from/back through the TV & wall😱😱😱
She was dressed as though she was from the 1960's & had the big hair from that time too😱😱😱

Can't add (thankfully) but wondering if anyone remembers a story about someone going for a walk near Ham House? Had the thread on my watched list but it's gone. Also the story about a mumsnetter house sitting by Savernake forest. Holy crap

Oh, is the house sitting one the one where she was looking after dogs? That was spooky.

You need to look at The Unexplained section OP as most threads on this type of stuff get reallocated there.

A couple of years ago I worked with someone who very into ghosts and ghost hunting and she invited me to a ghost hunting tour of an old manor house, I only went for a laugh not being a believer

The person leading the tour was a very bossy woman, every one in the tour had walked down the main stair case but I was still at the top looking at some of the pictures the leader called up to me and told me off and to join the tour as there was a lot to see

I was alone, there was no one behind me and everyone else was at the bottom of the stairs, I muttered to myself about the leader saying 'I don't like you', right next to me a voice whispered 'I don't like her either' and giggled it was right in my ear and there was no one there.

I didn't say anything but found it ironic that no one else saw or heard anything and wrote the place off as a waste of time

I do believe now but have never gone on another tour
