Stupid pregnancy tears!

This evening I cried over the fact that the dog had peed on the sofa (my fault I ignored his whinging) and I shouted at him. I rang my parents crying and my mum came and helped me clean the cushions while dad made me a cup of tea.

I feel so utterly silly for it, usually I'd just clean it myself but instead I burst into tears and felt like I couldn't cope. My oh was at the gym and didn't answer his phone when I rang him (it was in a locker, might have to keep it on him considering we only have 5 weeks left until baby arrives) so I called my mum.

Please help me feel less silly and tell me your stories about stupid reasons for pregnant tears??

Because they had run out of eggs in Ed's diner. I literally cried for 4 hours. We had to explain to the waitress as I wasn't showing yet (and looked insane)

Because I was uncomfortable in my chair at work.

Because I had nuts stuck in my teeth after eating them.

Because I thought the ducks looked lonely in the park.

When I was in the third trimester with my first baby, I used to read the ending of a young adult book where the heroine dies every single morning so I could start the day off with a good cry 😆

When I was pregnant I once came home and sobbed my heart out because there were too many annoying people at Sainsbury's!

Talking to ny mum about it she said the fact I'm normally quite highly strung doesnt help matters, and she's surprised this is my first melt down 🤦‍♀️ @redcrab what book is that?

I will PM you because I don’t want to be a spoiler, given I’ve just mentioned the ending Grin

I cried because someone did something at work I said I would do and had not said they had done it and it made me look incompetent. I also cried because I could not argue my point and now as a consequence I am stuck doing what I was arguing against. Sounds stupid written down

I cried because the restaurant brought plain garlic bread when I ordered cheese. Also cried when my brother stole one of my chicken nuggets. All of my pregnancy tears were related to food in some way Blush.

Me. I cried at a war film. They're not my usual co of tea and I can't remember why I was watching it, but I cried my heart out at the thought of all those young men being killed. It was a made-up war in a made-up story.

I was never a crier before pregnancy, but have been since then (and it was many years ago!). I think I might, finally, be coming out of it...

Good luck OP! Just buy shares in Kleenex (other tissue brands are available) and chalk it up to being another joy of being pregnant Smile
