FB marketplace item. Needs to be posted.

Seller doesn't have PayPal.
I refuse bank transfer.

She says her mum has PayPal.

Am I OK to send the money to her mums PayPal? It will be sold goods so I should have protection?

You won;t have any buyer protection if you send it friends & family, no. If you send it as buying goods or services, the seller will be liable for a fee, this will be taken before it reaches their account.

Even buying goods you don’t have any come back if the address on PayPal doesn’t match the seller on eBay - not sure how that might work on Facebook but I’d be wary

Are you collecting the item? If so it should be cash in collection.

As long as you send goods and services you will be protected.
Keep copies/screenshots of the listing with price and all messages exchanged. But you should be fine.
