hi everyone, so I would appreciate some feedback or advice regarding this matter. Recently I split up with my partner and had no where to go so I went to my local council and claimed homeless. I was in emergency accommodation with my little one for just over a month until I found a 2 bedroom flat via private renting. The council said they would pay the first months rent and deposit (as I'm not working right now) but as my landlord was rather greedy and didn't want to for 30 days until the money comes through (he wanted me to pay upfront) i borrowed the money from my mum. The council said they will reimburse me the money and once I fill put the BACS form it will take 30 days for it to process and I will receive the funds. However it has now been well over a month and I still haven't received anything, I've been trying to contact my housing officer via email and phone calls and she hasn't been getting back to me. They promised I will receive the money back that's the only reason my mum leant me the money and there's is no way I can pay her back without it being on benefits. Has anyone else had a similar situation and was it resolved. Thanks in advance
