Fitbit help - not recording exercise

Hi
My fit recognises all my walks etc. This evening I did 40 minutes on the exercise bike and although it recognises it in overall active minutes (and as 15 minutes) it doesn’t show up as a separate exercise.
I made sure my heart rate was high throughout.
I’m just interested in the data from it.

I’ve made sure I’ve changed all my settings to 10 minutes activity.

Before you exercise you can select the type of exercise you are doing on your watch. The autorecognition doesn't always work properly.

I know you can select running or weight training options so I’m thinking there must be a cycling one. I’ve heard people complain about this though and often put their watch on their ankle.

DH suggested that but then you get no heart rate?
