Help me design my friend’s Taskmaster birthday?

I am going away with a group of friends to celebrate a big birthday. The birthday boy really enjoys Taskmaster on Dave and as a I surprise I want to organise a mini taskmaster in the garden.
We have four “contestants” and a back garden. I’m not sure if there is much furniture or trees in the garden to use.

Any suggestions for tasks that won’t coat the earth or require loads of equipment gratefully received!

There’s a really great Taskmaster book! Only about £8 on Amazon and packed with tasks

Thanks Poonmig! I’ll definitely have a look. Annoyingly the birthday boy has the book but I can’t borrow it without arousing suspicion Grin

Some little cakes and some icing. A box of sweets/decorations so people can take turns in choosing something.

Oooo I want to do this theme for my partners birthday! I love the live tasks they do at the end of each episode and they would be great fun to recreate. Maybe go back through the episodes and watch the live ones to see what you can do?

On a recent episode they did a task with hula hoops and a frying pan that would be simple enough to do. For those it wouldn't matter so much if he's seen it on the tv because they're more about skill.

And I second the book, it would be very useful if you can get your hands on a copy.

I have reserved a copy of the book at my local library!!
The hula hoop and frying pan sounds interesting- I’m watching TM just now for “research”. Joe Lycett made me laugh so hard during his smiling/painting challenge the neighbours must have heard.

Today on taskmaster they did an easy one. They had to stand behind one line and roll a toilet roll each to go over the next line but if it went too far it would roll off the stage and they would be out. Then they had to put a shoe on the end of wherever their toilet roll ended and pull it back to them without breaking it.

Are you going to film any tasks or do them live? We did this with friends recently, it was excellent, but a lot of work getting the videos edited. One task we had was essentially get as far away as you can in 30 minutes, one was 'the floor is lava', where you had to get from A to B without touching the floor.
