Reading a book in a taxi...

Would I look really antisocial if I did this Blush . I take a regular-ish journey which is 25 mins each way and have thought about taking a book to read on the way but something is stopping me.

I usually just read stuff on my phone anyway but it feels like taking out a book is more of a 'don't talk to me' sign to the driver, would I look really rude whipping a book out to read?

Not at all, the taxi driver would probably be glad not to have to make small talk Grin

No, not at all! I'll bet many people read the morning paper or the metro in a taxi, what's the difference?
I've read a book in a taxi many times. As PP says, the driver will probably be glad of a break from small talk

I always feel ill if I read in a car but I don't think there's anything wrong with it if you want to do it.

Thanks everyone, will take one with me to read next time Smile, I usually find they have the radio on just loud enough to not really allow for much small talk so you're right they'd probably be glad to not talk!
