Present for 60y old man

Hello, wise Mumsneters, I need ideas of what to give 60y old male for birthday. He is not a relative, we used to be work colleagues and kept in touch through his wife.
Got invited to his b'day party to be held in a posh place (he used to work there years ago) and have no idea what to gift him.
He is really nice and lovely Englishman.

Do you know anything about him? What does he like? Does he drink? Any hobbies?
