How to clean trainers!!!

Please give me your best tips for washing trainers, they are so smelly! I have put them through the washing machine but they still stink. I do get quite sweaty feet and I also wore them in the rain on a camping trip. I don't want to have to throw them out and I don't wear them on really hot days.

Washing machine, in a bag, lots of product. Air dry outside.

How hot please?

Loads of Bicarbonate soda in them over night, Hoover it out. Then in to the washing machine. I always put a little bit of the laundry liquid directly into the trainers- especially in the toes. Stuff them with newspaper and on to the radiator upside down or outside to dry

Ahhh bicarb is a great idea!!! Can I put some in now even though they are wet after coming out the machine?

If they are leather, oil them. I have no idea why, but it totally works

Stick an unused teabag in them overnight. Seems to work!

Bicarbonate probably won’t work when wet- it’ll just fizz and go gloopy. But once the trainers have dried- put it in, leave and hoover out

Thanks for all the tips everyone!

They aren't leather. Just nike trainers. Going to leave them to dry and then put bicarb in overnight..
