Decree absolute-remarried

Neither DH or I can find our decree absolutes from our previous marriages. We have the decree nisis.
Would we have handed them in when we got married?
I tried googling but can't find out.

You would have had to produce them when registering your intent to marry, but probably not needed to "hand them in".
You can get copies from the court if required.
