Let me start by saying my Husband and adult children are all reasonably intelligent . I’ve been married for 10 years and never had any serious arguments/fall outs with any of the family so you’d think that these people know me well.

However - It’s my birthday soon and I’ve been told that unless I tell them exactly what I want (and where to get it) , I will get nothing!
This is not an idle threat as that is what I got last year for my 50th.

Now the problem, I have absolutely no idea what to say. I genuinely hate asking for anything and would so much prefer them to choose something, a token anything for themselves. Therefore please help me. Remembering that it has to be precise, What would you ask for?

Do you have any hobbies?

Do you need/want new clothes/perfume/make up?

We're gonna need a bit more detail please!

Jewellery. Perfume. Weekend away. Handbag. The usual crap.

Holiday vouchers.

For me I like tech, books, bath stuff, plants, pictures, wine, chocolate, meal out, etc. Really depends on what you like doing and what kind of budget if you don’t want “stuff” then how about tickets to an event or something like national trust membership.

I would ask for:
White cotton men style pjs
A massively well loaded book voucher
An Ella Fitzgerald album on vinyl
One of those floor lamps that goes over...
A yellow wing back armchair from ikea
A bottle of Amarone
A thin but long scarf in a good blue colour
A huge bunch of sweet peas

In reality I buy my own presents as am a single mum, but my wish list is always full!

A camera and/or a photography lesson.
