What does 'fun loving' mean to you?

I have been described as not being 'fun loving'. I can't give the full context, but it was in a semi work related context relating to childcare.
(as opposed to, say, going on a stag do - I am male btw)

Nope, mine would have been the same. "Fun loving" is how the lasses from Geordie Shore might describe themselves.

I was going to say 'An alcoholic' or 'Bit of a prat', but actually in the context of childcare it would probably be more of a good thing.

I'm not sure how you could portray that side of yourself in an interview setting though, so it was a very unfair comment from somebody who barely knows you.

Relating to childcare (as you say the comment was) I’d say if someone was described as fun loving that they liked to play games and get some excitement going. So instead of reading to the kids would think up some active game.
In other context I’d think it was someone who was up for some new activity - always the one to suggest doing something new and different. Might on occasion take it too far and not take things seriously when called for. But I don’t relate to most of the other comments on here.

Fun loving to me is someone who likes to go out and socialise, do adventurous things, and be on the go. Maybe they don’t take life as seriously as other people. It’s not a bookish, studious person.
