Help me find the perfect birthday present!

My FIL is 60 in a few weeks and I don’t know what to get for his birthday!

Unfortunately he has advanced cancer and is expected to only live another 2-3 years. Knowing this we want to make this birthday very special and get him something really nice.

His only grandchildren are my 2 DD so would like something nice to give to him from them too. They are aged 2&5.

He’s really difficult to buy for so don’t really have any ideas. We can’t go away anywhere as he’s not well enough, and he doesn’t have any hobbies. I was thinking along the lines of something personalised, but again I’m stuck on what!

Any suggestions would be fab Grin

Does he have a favourite drink? Maybe a bottle with a personalised label or a picture etched on it?

I also find not on the high street are great for gift ideas.

A special photo album? Maybe one of those where you recreate funny old pics !

He used to love a drink but since being poorly he hasn’t had any. Will have to have a look at not on the high street!

That would be nice.. I’m not sure how handy MIL would be giving me the photos as she’s always busy with other things to do. I wonder if he would like a photo album of his grandkids, hmm.

How often do you see him?

A kindle with pre loaded books.

A tablet that he can skype/FaceTime in to his grandchildren? Them saying goodnight to grandad a few times in the week would be a lovely thing.

We see him 2-3 times a week, he lives close by so no need for Skype/FaceTime Smile
