Weaning making reflux worse?

My ds is nearly 6 months (next week) and I've been weaning him for a couple of weeks with just tasters (early yes, but my choice). No matter what I give him - fruit, veg or porridge, no matter what time of day, he will have a horrific nights sleep that follows.
If he just has milk he will sleep fine.
He's on Ranitidine for reflux, highest dose. When his reflux isn't under control he wake just like he is at the moment ( every 30-45 mins).

Obviously I've now stopped weaning but I can't put it off for ever.

Any insight, advice of experience please.

Yes weaning made things a lot worse for DS2. He had a severe reflux and up until 8 months it was a nightmare.
Very runny or soupy food were better tolerate, so very runny applesauce, a clear soup, a vegetable broth, things like that.

At 8 months he was tested for allergies and came back positive for wheat, dairy, eggs/chicken, tomatoes, citrus

Giving him food without these made things easier an after he turned 2, he could have those foods without any issues and now he eats anything he wants and still loves his soups at 13!

Thank you.

His brother has severe allergies. Apart from the reflux, he isn't showing any signs of allergies but of course it's at the forefront of my mind constantly!

He ate a banana yesterday and he slept really well but I gave him baby gaviscon last night so perhaps that's it.

I will give him more tonight and see how it goes.

Same happened with us. We skipped anything babyfood like and went straight to BLW - wholemeald toast, broccoli stalks, chunks of sweet potato, banana chunks etc as first foods. Messy but fun
