Job or career?

I currently work in a job I hate. It pays well and is pretty flexible although the commute is an hour each way. The job is very challenging but it offers a good stepping stone to other jobs which would be in the sector I want and hopefully can offer some training. I have only been here two months but already I dread going. The staff turnover is very high - sometimes people just don't come back after lunch!
Another job has come up locally to me. It is most definitely a job and not a career with no prospects going forward. The pay is much lower but the hours are set and there is no commute. It is for a good company and a job I have done before which was enjoyable.
My youngest DC is 6 with another 5 years left at primary and limited access to childcare (so I won't be able to work full time for a long time).
I just don't know what to do. My head says stick this out for a few more months and the. Move on with the experience under my belt where as my heart says bloody get out and enjoy an easy life!
Wwyd?

Job and easy life for me. Imin s dead end job which pays poor but usual hourly rate for what i do but its only term time so im missing out on weeks of wages. But with school age kids (1 leaving primary and one already in secondary school) its great. I drop them off at school and collect them 3:30. And i live 3 miles from work.

Career every time. Imagine all the things you can do in 2 or 5 years time when you’ll be earning more.
