Baby poo on light coloured wool carpet!

Please help

I don’t want to make it worse so asking for advice before I do anything. But newly bum-shuffling DC has smeared runny breastfed poo all over my light grey wool carpet in the lounge. Should I dab with water or scrub with vanish or anything else??

Don't let it sit for too long. Try and get as much as you can up with paper towels (and scraping). Usually vinegar and washing up liquid mixed 1:2 with water and sprayed on works. Keep dabing at it and spraying but try not to use too much as you don't want to spread the stain. Vanish carpet spray might work if you have blotted up as much as possible.

Change the carpet, the stains will keep on coming as your baby gets older . Hard wood is best...
