This was my childhood pooch, Sandy. Cleverest dog I ever knew. She could spell FOOD and WALKIES and all sorts and then when we switched to French, she quickly learnt to understand that, too.. it was impossible to get anything past her!
She also perfected the art of looking normal on one side of her snout and baring her teeth discreetly at us kids out the other side so our mum couldn't see. 😂 Obviously she never hurt any of us; she was keeping us in check.
My husband and I are hoping to get a dog this coming year. Most likely a rescue dog, hopefully with a fair dollop of collie in her. I'm getting very excited.
