It's June for crying out loud and I'm cold.

Anyone else?

It was 10c outside as I came home, thought I'd been feeling a little chilly at work with the windows open, I run hot most of the year but this is my preference. My plan was to put on a jumper and socks, however DD has come home from uni so walked into a warm house as she has put the heating on.

PawPawNoodle · 10/06/2019 17:59

I'm in London, we had ours on all morning after Mr Noodle came home from being rained off at work. Turned it off now but sitting under a big fluffy throw. If it's cold, it's cold!

Dowser · 10/06/2019 18:01

Well it hasn’t rained today in ne uk yet
But did have it on for an hour this morning.
It’s gone chilly again now so it will be going on later

Iris1654 · 10/06/2019 18:03

I bought three sun loungers....it’s all my fault!

Heatings not on, it’s 17 and I'm back in fleece pjs asking the children to locate hot water bottles.

It was very sunny this morning so I aired the house for a few hours, but when the sun went in the temperature plummeted.

No way the heatings going on in jun FFS.

ThorosOfMyr · 10/06/2019 18:05

It's 10 degrees outside! Put ours on. Slippers too.

flapjackfairy · 10/06/2019 18:08

I've just said to my husband thank goodness it isn't just me . I have the fire on as well. I am freezing in the midlands !
Midlands being where I live not my middle bodily regions !

lucymegan · 10/06/2019 18:13

I've just put mine on 😩 where's the summer!

Retreatbynameretreatbynature · 10/06/2019 18:20

I’ve put our heating on, it’s freezing! Feels very much like a late autumn day rather than June. Although I can’t cope with the boiling hot temperatures from last year so I’m not complaining too much!

Willow2017 · 10/06/2019 18:30

Me too.
Walking around town this am in summer top and lacy summer card I . Now bloody freezing. Put hoodie on top of other clothes and still put heating on an hour ago!

Weather mental here past week. sunny in am then bucketing rain afternoons/nights.but still hot! Now its freezing cold!

marywinchester · 10/06/2019 18:33

I've put 2 loads of washing out on the line today, got them both in dry and had a nap on the bench in the garden it was so warm (it's helping my legs recover from yesterday's half marathon Smile ) but now only 90 minutes later it's raining really hard, we have thunder and lightning and I'm thinking about putting the heating on. So much for flaming June.

Pipandmum · 10/06/2019 18:35

I’m going to light my wood burner. My son however is out rowing at the moment! Hardy lads (and lasses).

AlexaAmbidextra · 10/06/2019 21:39

I put mine on this morning. I was bloody cold.

Starlight456 · 10/06/2019 21:45

I put fire on in lounge but now under my winter duvet

DrCoconut · 10/06/2019 22:14

I seem to remember last year it was cold until into June because I had all but given up on the summer. Then we had the lovely weather ☀️. Fingers crossed for a repeat, in a couple of weeks time will be fine so it lasts well into the summer holidays this time. So fed up of cold and damp now.

MajesticWhine · 10/06/2019 22:17

Just put mine on a 1 hour boost having already tried putting on two extra layers of clothing.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 10/06/2019 22:18

Ours went on this afternoon. SW London and the temp on the thermometer outside the kitchen window read 9.1 deg!

Been pissing it down all day too - mind you I think we can do with it. Hardly any rain for ages..

TheFlis12345 · 10/06/2019 22:18

Nope, inside temp still showing as 21 in our house (London) despite the torrential rain outside.

Threeminis · 10/06/2019 22:27

The weather really is crazy at the moment.

I know this isn't aibu but yabu I got really, really burnt today at sports day I really should know better what an asshole BlushGrin

Delatron · 10/06/2019 22:28

Last year was definitely lovely already in May so we’d already had great weather by now. Both the May bank holidays were nice and we went camping at May half term/beginning of June and it was hot.

Owlettele · 10/06/2019 22:29

I went to bed when the kids did with a cup of tea because I was cold!!!!

TildaKauskumholm · 10/06/2019 22:37

In bed with two hot water bottles...

MrsDilligaf · 10/06/2019 22:42

I haven't put the heating on (but it is on auto so technically it isn't actually off...)

I have put the big quilt back on, and dug out my winter pyjamas.

DD is furious because she can't go in her paddling pool. I'm not stopping her, but "the rain rain go away song isn't working mummy!" She just stands in the kitchen glaring at the pool.

Bloodybridget · 10/06/2019 22:57

We've had our heating on a few times the last few days, I am poorly and keep getting very cold. Today I had it on constant and whacked the thermostat up high - also wearing several layers, scarf and gilet!

rollingpine · 11/06/2019 00:05

Dcat has finally given up on the in/out game and is now sulking on the stairs.

DH said to me earlier "Cor, your hands are really cold" (we were only holding hands, nothing more adventurous) Grin

Even my menopausal hot flushes aren't enough to warm me up.

Seriously considering bed socks now.

I thought it was hot?

Is that over?
