We've just started trying, only a week, but now I'm so worried we should stop until I've lost some more weight. Really could do with losing at least 3 stone so thinking I should do that first? Help please am I being selfish trying at my weight.

Do both! TTC and lose weight.

Don’t be so hard on yourself at the same time but if you’ve 3 stone to lose then you should address that.

Yes I've been trying so that's a plus, will try not to be so hard on myself and hope it helps me lose the weight. Thank you

Agree with @Happyspud that's the way I did it otherwise I felt I'd be too old given the amount I had to loose!! Ttc is tough - naturally or with help be kind to yourself Thanks

Nobody can answer this for you. It depends on your age, your weight/BMI, your personal circumstances, your work, any knowledge you may already have about your likeliness to conceive...

All things being equal pregnancy is easier and less risky at a lower weight. And some options re birth may not be open to you above certain BMIs. But many women conceive fine and have straightforward pregnancies with high BMI. And if you are older than 35 waiting may not be practical.
